Dr Ayodeji Majek Akande is a dedicated mental health professional, teacher, and researcher with over 11 years’ experience in the field of Psychiatry. He is currently a Specialty Doctor at St. Augustine’s Hospital, Cygnet Healthcare, Stoke-on-Trent, UK. Prior to this, he worked for about three years as a Consultant Psychiatrist at State Specialist Hospital, Osogbo.

He obtained his MBBS degree from the College of Medicine of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Psychiatry. He is currently in the process of becoming a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. 

In his free time, he enjoys watching football, playing football, playing checkers listening to music, and spending time with family.
